The goal of this page is to help people not do what I did when I found out I had diabetes: panic. Here you’ll find thoughts on what it means to have problems controlling your blood sugar, where to find food that isn’t a hassle, and discussions of news stories related to diabetes.
My name is Stephen Marshall and I was diagnosed as hyperglycimic in April of 2008. I control it with diet and exercise but it’s still made a huge impact on my life. I have a number of friends who have different degrees and flavors of diabetes and I’m hoping that what I’ve learned from them and from what I’ve learned by experience can help those who are now discovering what it means to live with this disease.
Note: Any changes in diet should be checked with your doctor first. I am not a physician and any information you take away from this site should be regarded with this in mind.
